VASD COVID-19 PCR Testing Site Information

  • The Verona Area School District is pleased to offer COVID-19 PCR and antigen testing to all staff and students. Before coming to the testing site, please review the following information:

    Testing Instructions

    • PCR and antigen testing is available by appointment from 8:00AM - 2:00PM on school days.
    • Schedule an appointment by filling out the Google Form: COVID-19 Testing Appointment Form.
    • Pre-registration is required in addition to scheduling an appointment. Pre-register through the COVID Connect website prior to the appointment at COVID Connect.
      • When asked to select a test center, choose “I’m being tested at a non-public site” at the top of the page.
    • Have your QR code ready upon arrival. Sorry, we are unable to assist with onsite registration.
    • All testing is located at Verona Area High School (234 Wildcat Way). An email confirmation with parking instructions will be sent to the email address used in the Google Form.


    Frequently Asked Questions

    • Is an appointment necessary?
      • Yes, you will need to complete the Google Form to schedule an appointment. Pre-registration through the COVID Connect website is also necessary. A pre-registration form is necessary for each person getting tested.
    • Is testing available for family of staff or students?
      • We may be able to test family members of a student or staff member if the student or staff member is present. Each person needs to be pre-registered through COVID Connect. Sorry, we cannot guarantee availability for family members
    • Do I have to have symptoms to be tested?
      • No, you do not need to have symptoms to get a test.
    • What type of test should I get?
      • If you are experiencing symptoms and you have NOT tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 90 days, a PCR test or 5 day isolation period is necessary prior to returning to school.
      • If you are experiencing symptoms and you have had a lab-verified positive test for COVID-19 in the past 90 days, an antigen test or 5 day isolation period is necessary prior to returning to school. Please consult with the school nurse prior to testing or returning to school.
      • If you have been exposed to somebody with COVID-19 and you are not experiencing symptoms, a PCR or antigen test is recommended 5 days after last exposure.
      • Please refer to the VASD Health Services website for the most up-to-date and comprehensive guidance.
    • How will the PCR results take?
      • Results can take up to 5 days during periods of high demand and volume. Typically, results are back within 48 hours.
    • How will I get my PCR results?
      • Results are emailed directly to the email address you used to register. The email will be from Exact Sciences.
    • How long will the antigen results take?
      • Antigen test results are available in 15 minutes. Positive results will be reported over the phone.
    • It has been 5 days and I still have not received my test results.
      • Call the Department of Health Services at 1-866-419-6988 to check the status of results if you have not received results after 5 days.
    • Can I return to school/work while waiting for results?
      • If you are experiencing symptoms, you cannot return to work or school until you have your results and symptoms have improved.
    • I tested positive. Now what?
      • Notify the school nurse of your positive result.
