The 2026-2027 school year open enrollment application window is February 2nd through April 30th at 4:00 pm.
Public school open enrollment allows parents to apply for their children to attend a public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside.

For 2026-27, open enrollment spaces were determined by the Board of Education on January 12, 2026. If needed, a waitlist will be maintained by VASD (only for grade levels with approved spaces). The VASD maintains a waiting list up to five(5) business days before the start of school.

Based on special education staffing and caseload capacity, zero open enrollment spaces are available for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for the 2026-27 school year.
