Charter School and Two-Way Immersion Placement
VASD Charter School and Two-Way Immersion Information
VASD provides families with public, tuition-free educational options at Core Knowledge Charter School, New Century School, Verona Area International School (Mandarin immersion program), or the Two-Way Spanish Immersion (TWI) Program.
To apply for one of these schools or programs, you must submit an online Charter/TWI Application form between January 11 and February 14 to be considered for the upcoming lottery. Please note the following information:
- Applications are not accepted on a first come, first served basis.
- All applications will be considered at the same time once the application window closes.
- All late submissions will be added to the waiting list. This also includes younger siblings of students who are currently enrolled in one of the charter schools or the TWI program.
- Only one application request per VASD resident student may be submitted.
If your student is not currently attending a school in VASD, you will need to register them for the 2024-25 School Year before submitting an Charter School or Two-Way Immersion application. Please find details on how to register your student for the 2024-25 School Year by visiting our New to the District page.
