• Welcome Verona Area International School Families

     

    On behalf of our entire staff and student body, I am excited and grateful to welcome you to Verona Area International School.   I am committed to supporting every student in getting what they need to be successful in school.  At Verona Area International School our focus is on learning Mandarin Chinese. It is the goal of our school to prepare children for the demands and responsibilities of Global Citizenship by providing the knowledge, skills and experience needed to move naturally between different languages and cultures. I am excited to assist our staff, students and families in continuing this focus for the future success of our students, school and community. 

     

    Families are an important part of our school. We welcome you to join us at our many special events celebrating different cultures and our students' learning about these cultures. You can also be a part of our Governance Council or the many other committees that make our school great. You can find the dates for our special events and information to stay engaged in our school community by perusing our monthly newsletter. 

    I have been in education since 1999. During that time I have taught grades 1st-4th and been a principal in two other elementary schools.  I attended Northwestern University and have a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Vanderbilt University. I did my graduate coursework for school administration at UW-Madison. My family consists of my husband Tim and daughter Lily. When I’m not at school, you can find me enjoying the special events and places in the Madison area.
