Welcome to Summer School 2022!
The Verona Area School District is committed to providing opportunities for a summer experience that is filled with academic exploration, enrichment experiences, and curricular reinforcement for all students. This year we have put together a vast course selection for all grade levels that will pique the interest of all learners.
Summer school will take place from Wednesday, July 6 - Friday, July 29 from 8:00am-12:00pm each day. Sugar Creek Elementary School will house all of the elementary (preK-5) courses. Verona Area High School will house all of the middle/high school (6-12) courses.
As you read through the 2022 Summer offerings with your child, you will find a listing and course description of courses for grades preK to 12. When registering your student, please make sure that you are selecting courses based upon your child’s CURRENT grade for the 2021-22 academic year. Help fill your child’s summer with learning, discovery, and fun. Consider taking advantage of these summer opportunities for students in the Verona Area School District.

I am very excited to welcome you to our 2022 Elementary Summer School Program. Throughout this spring we have developed programming that will give your child an opportunity to grow in both their academic and social emotional development. Every day children will have the opportunity to have breakfast, every class will have a morning meeting to build their class community, a mid-morning recess to promote physical activity, and engage in fun activities to grow their academic and social skills.
Sugar Creek will be the location for Elementary Summer School programming. Classes will range in size from 18 to 45 students, depending upon the number of instructors for each course. Interested teachers have proposed courses that incorporate literacy, language, math, problem solving, social emotional, and technology experiences in their offerings. These summer opportunities may also include time for drama, arts, hands-on investigations and experiential learning. All courses will be offered by certified teachers at no cost to students.
Thank you for your interest in our programs. I look forward to working with your children and family throughout the summer! Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
