Week of the Young Child 

Monday, April 1^rd- Friday, April 7^th

A whole week filled with activities at each of our partner sites for your family to enjoy! See the schedule of events for more details.

Monday April 3rd:

• 8am-9am @ Hometown Preschool- Come paint rocks like bugs!
• 9:30am-10:30am @ Once Upon a Time- David Landau will be singing and dancing to kick the week off.
• 12pm-1pm @ Little Blessings- Kids and families can plant their own flowers and go on a fun Spring scavenger hunt.

Tuesday April 4th: 

• 10:00am-10:30am @ Big Apple - Cheerios Bird Feeder Ornaments
• 11:15am-11:45am @ La Petite Verona - Create a community Pre-k banner using different art supplies.
• 12:15pm-12:45pm @ YMCA Stoner Prairie - Enjoy painting your own cupcake using paint, shaving cream, and glitter!

Wednesday April 5th:

• 11:00am-12:00pm @ The Caring Center/VMH - Learn interesting animal info and meet some zoo residents
• 12:00pm-12:30pm @ St. James Preschool - Kids and adults can interact and exercise together in our rec space. Fitness Fun!
• 3:00pm-4:00pm @ The Goddard School - Enjoy Spring-themed sensory bins in the outdoors!

Thursday April 6th:

• 3:00pm-3:30pm @ La Petite Fitchburg - Make hand rainbows and color with chalk outdoors!
• 3:30pm-4:00pm @ Pooh Bear Childcare - Families will be able to make and decorate their own maraca's.

Friday April 7th:

• 11:30am-12:30pm @ Grateful Hearts - Make your own pizza to eat and participate in pizza activities.
• 3:30pm-4:00pm @ Here We Grow - Families will be invited to come in for donuts to celebrate our students' learning.

Getting Ready for Kindergarten

Tuesday, April 4^th 7:30-8:30pm on Zoom

Wednesday, April 5^th 6:30-7:30pm at Stoner Prairie (Presentation will be in Spanish)

Thursday, April 6^th 6:30-7:30pm at Sugar Creek

This is an informational meeting for families of current Pre-K students to learn about preparing for Kindergarten. Topics will include what to expect in the first weeks and how to best prepare your child. There will be time for questions as well.

Pre-K at the Henry Vilas Zoo

Saturday, May 13^th 10am-12pm

Bring your whole family for a day of fun at the Henry Vilas Zoo! Families will have an opportunity to go on a scavenger hunt, get a token for the carousel or train and eat lunch in Vilas Park.

Diversión con Plastilina para Todos*

Sábado 4 de marzo de 9:00-11:00 de la mañana en la Escuela Primaria Glacier Edge

Se invita a las familias a hacer plastilina, jugar con ella y luego llevarla a casa.  Proveeremos una receta para hacer la plastilina, una hoja de actividades para hacer con la plastilina y un frasco para llevarla a casa.

Prepararse para el Kindergarten

Martes 4 de Abril de 7:30-8:30 por ZOOM

Miércoles 5 de Abril de 6:30-7:30 de la tarde en la Escuela Primaria Stoner Prairie (presentación bilingual Ingles y Español)

Jueves 6 de Abril de 6:30-7:30 en la Escuela Primaria de Sugar Creek

Esta es una reunión informativa para las familias de los estudiantes que actualmente asisten al Programa Pre-K para aprender sobre la preparación para el Kindergarten. Los temas incluirán qué esperar en las primeras semanas y cómo preparar a su hijo(a). También habrá tiempo para hacer preguntas.

Pre-K en el Zoológico Henry Vilas

Sábado 13 de mayo de 10:00 de la mañana – 12:00 de la tarde

¡Traiga a toda su familia para un día de diversión en el zoológico Henry Vilas! Las familias tendrán la oportunidad de participar en una búsqueda de tesoros, ganar una ficha para montarse en el carrusel o el tren y almorzar en el parque Vilas.
