- In 1995 New Century School was started because a Verona parent had the courage to dream about a small school where innovation could be practiced and applied. Today, we continue that dream every day with our students.

Who Can Enroll at New Century School and how is NCS's overall enrollment number determined?
New Century School is open to students in grades K - 5 who live in the Verona Area School District. Our overall enrollment number is determined by the district administrative team in conjunction with our school site council to ensure a high level of fairness and equity between all students in the Verona Area School District.

I have a child who will be eligible for Kindergarten in a few years. Can I get them pre-enrolled or put on the waiting list for New Century School?
Enrollment requests take place in January/February each year for the following September. Unfortunately, you cannot request enrollment earlier.

I just moved to the Verona Area School District and want to enroll my child at New Century School, what do I do?
Families that just moved to the Verona Area School District (VASD), may enroll their child(ren) at NCS if there are current openings. Newly relocated families should contact New Century School at (608) 845-4500 to gather more information about current openings.

Where do New Century School students go after they have completed 5th grade?
New Century School only goes through grade five. New Century School students attend 6th through 8th grade at their neighborhood middle school: Badger Ridge Middle School or Savannah Oaks Middle School.

Does New Century School take open enrollment students?
Enrollment at NCS may be accessible to those applying under the State of Wisconsin Open Enrollment program as determined by the Board of Education.

I currently have a child enrolled in one of the other elementary schools in the district, but want to transfer them to New Century School. What do I do?
Students currently enrolled in the VASD can request a transfer to NCS during the district-wide enrollment period in January/February. During this time, families in the VASD with students in grades K - 4 will receive a letter from the district Central Office. This letter will give parents the option to request enrollment at New Century School.
