Taking care of your health should be simple, convenient, and affordable. That’s why the Verona Area School District has partnered with SSM Health to provide an onsite health clinic designed exclusively for VASD employees and their families.
Whether you need care for an unexpected illness, support for your ongoing health, or a quick checkup, the clinic is here to help, right in our district.
Scheduling an Appointment
There are a few easy ways to make an appointment, with same-day and next-day appointments typically available.

Who Can Use the Clinic
The clinic is open to:
- Employees and dependents enrolled in the VASD Dean Health Plan: $0 copay
- All other regular/permanent staff, as listed below ($20 copay)
- 30+ hours per week, not enrolled on Dean Health Plan
- Regular and permanent employees working less than 30 hours per week*
- Work-related injuries: Always covered at $0 copay
At this time, the clinic is not available for substitute staff, temporary employees, or Aquatic Center part-time employees for non-work-related care.
Services Provided
The onsite clinic is designed to meet a wide range of your healthcare needs, including the below services. A full list of services can be found here.
- Care for common illnesses (cold, flu, strep, ear infections, etc.)
- Treatment for minor injuries
- Preventive checkups and wellness exams
- Behavioral health services and counseling
- Prescription drug renewals
- Work-related injury treatment
- Basic lab work performed onsite
- Vaccinations (including flu shots and boosters)
- New employee physicals
Because the clinic uses Epic/MyChart, your care is fully integrated with your existing health records for seamless follow-up and coordinated care.
Your Care Team
The clinic is staffed by compassionate providers employed by SSM Health. You’ll receive the same quality of care you would from a traditional clinic, but with the added convenience of being close to work, same-day scheduling, and little or no cost.

Your visits are private and HIPAA-compliant, ensuring your health information stays secure.
Wellness Assessment Incentive
Each fall, staff are encouraged to complete the voluntary wellness assessment at the clinic. This quick appointment provides valuable insights into your health and allows you to take proactive steps for your well-being.
- $150 for each employee who completes the assessment by November 15
- $150 for spouses covered under the VASD Dean Health Plan
This is an easy way to care for yourself while putting extra cash in your pocket.

- Hours: Monday–Thursday: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, Friday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Savanna Oaks Middle School Clinic
- Savanna Oaks Middle School, 5890 Lacy Road, Fitchburg
- Hours: Two Fridays per month: 7:40 am - 5:00 pm
Specialty Care & Preventive Services
The clinic periodically hosts specialty days, such as flu shot clinics, health screenings, and preventive wellness events. Staff feedback helps shape which specialty services are offered, so you’ll always have a voice in what’s provided. Upcoming speciality days include hearing checks, dermatology days and blood pressure screenings.
