Seasonal and Temporary Positions

Seasonal and temporary employees and workers play a necessary and valuable role in the education and enrichment of our students. VASD seasonal and temporary employees enjoy flexible scheduling, allowing them to choose work dates and times that fit their availability.  

We are actively accepting applications for part-time lifeguards, swim instructors, AVID tutors and athletic event workers.  Apply online here.  

Hourly Rates

Lifeguard (Early Morning): $18.00 per hour
Lifeguard: $17.00 per hour
Aquatic Center Supervisor: $20.00 per hour
Swim Instructor: $22.00 per hour  

AVID Tutor: $16.25 per hour  
Athletic Event Workers: Rates vary per event/position
