Families are automatically opted in when you share your phone numbers in PowerSchool during registration. If you block messages from VASD, you're blocking all future messages until you opt back in (email or text messages). If you think you are not receiving phone calls, text messages, or emails, here's how to ensure you are signed up.
- The phone number you wish to opt in with must be in PowerSchool for families or Skyward for employees. Families may call your school's main office if you need to update your contact information. Staff may contact Human Resources if you need to update your contact information.
- Phone calls: Call the Blackboard Phone Hotline at 855-502-STOP (855-502-7867) from the phone you want to opt in.
- Text (SMS) messages: Message START to "60680" from the phone that you want to opt in.
- Emails: Call your school's main office.
Users can opt out of text messages:
- Phone calls: Call the Blackboard Phone Hotline at "855-502-STOP (855-502-7867)".
- Text (SMS) messages: Reply STOP to any Blackboard system text.
- Emails: Click the unsubscribe link from any email you receive.
Users can opt back into text messages:

- Phone calls: Call the Blackboard Phone Hotline at "855-502-STOP (855-502-7867)" from the phone that has been opted out.
