Teaching and Learning Framework

In alignment with the Strategic Framework priority area of Inclusive Teaching and Learning, educators representing all schools designed the VASD Teaching and Learning Framework. The framework design was informed by feedback from students, families, and staff on three questions:

• What is working for you as a learner/parent/staff member when it comes to your learning experience in VASD?
• Is there anything you would like to change about your/your child’s/your students' learning experience in VASD?
• Is there anything else you would like to share?

Respondants included 216 Staff Members, 609 Parents/Caregivers, and 370 students.

The resulting framework is an interrelated set of systems aligned to our VASD values with expectations that guide curriculum, instruction, assessment, and learning. The VASD Teaching and Learning Framework articulates aligned outcomes for all learners that result from the care and expertise of learning partnerships with educators.
