See the official letter sent from Wisconsin Dept. Of Public Instruction:

Congratulations! It is our pleasure to inform you that your application for the Wisconsin Seal of Biliteracy (Wisconsin Seal) has been approved. The reviewers commented that your application was exemplary!

Your school district may now acknowledge graduating seniors who have met your outlined criteria as Wisconsin Seal recipients. School districts may choose how these students will be honored. Options for ways school districts may recognize Wisconsin Seal recipients may be found in the Wisconsin Seal of Biliteracy Guidance Document at

As with so many other programs, the strength of the Wisconsin Seal depends on the creativity and dedication of students and teachers. The benefits are clear: culturally and linguistically competent students are better prepared to address the needs of local and global communities.

Again, congratulations on your new designation as a Wisconsin Seal school district. We look forward to working with you on implementing this valuable program in your district. Please let us know if we can be of assistance moving forward.
