Facilitating Equitable Access to Information for English Language Learners and Their Families

  • One of the principal goals of the Translation and Interpretation Services Team is to facilitate equitable access to information for English language learners and their families. The team operates district-wide to provide services to school district staff, students, and their families.  The team translates a wide variety of written information, including administrator correspondence; IEPs and related documents; event announcements and materials; student report cards and teacher comments; school newsletters; School Reach messages; website content; parent e-mail messages; and a myriad of other written communication from the school district to families.  

    The team also provides interpretation services, which include parent/teacher conferences, IEP meetings, district events, attendance meetings, parent/staff phone calls, home visits, school registration meetings, graduation, and other events within the district.
