    ATHLETIC CAMPS

    PDF for Tennis Camp

    Grades:  4th - 9th grade

    Dates/Times:  Saturday June 10th; 9am - 12pm

                           Sunday June 11th; 12pm - 3pm

    Location: Badger Ridge Middle School

    Details:  Whether you are a beginner or have played tennis for years, start your
    summer break by playing tennis! All skill levels are welcome.

    Price:  $40

    PDF for Flying V's Track & Field Club

    Dates. June 12th-July 20th. Monday/Tuesday 

    Grades:  3rd-9th grade. 4pm-5:30pm

                  10th-12th grade. 5:30-6:15pm

    The Flying V’s Track Club is offered to give developmental instruction to young athletes who want to learn more
    about the sport of track and field AND give more in-depth instruction to more experienced track athletes.

    Location: VAHS Track - 234 Wildcat Way (VAHS Field House is back up location some nights in case of rain)

    Cost: $90 entering grades 3-9, $50 entering 10 and up. Cost includes instruction for approximately 5 practice weeks, coaching at local meets, club t-shirt. (Meet entries are additional cost – expect around $10-15 for local meets.)

    Details: The Flying V’s Track Club calendar can be found on our website, which will be updated throughout the spring as meets are confirmed. In general, practices are Monday and Tuesday nights with a local meet typically on Thursday night. The calendar can be found at www.veronatrackandfield.com/flyingvs
    • Club practices begin the first week of summer (Mon. June 12th) from 4:00-5:30pm for students entering grades 3-9. Athletes in grades 10 and up warm-up on their own from 5-5:30, then work with coaches from 5:30-6:15.
    • Those competing in post-season championship meets such as USATF or AAU Regional/National will receive
    coaching beyond end of regular season.

    There will be a brief VIRTUAL parent informational meeting on TUESDAY June 6th at 7:00pm to provide details, answer questions. Link will be on our website by end of May and emailed to those who register.

    Grades:  Entering 6th-12th grade in Fall 2023

    Dates/Times: June 12th-July 27th. Monday's and Thursday's. 10:00am-11:30am. (Off the week of July 3rd)

    Location: Verona Area High School Wrestling Room (Enter Fieldhouse Door #17, the wrestling room is up the steps and to the right, then left at the weight room and down the hall)

    Details:  The Verona Area Wrestling Club is excited to provide a summer wrestling camp opportunity for all Verona Wrestling Club Middle School and High School wrestlers. VAWC is partnering with four local academies to provide a summer wrestling camp running on Mondays and Thursdays this summer, starting on June 12th and running through July 27th. The coaches directing the training are from Wrestling clubs - Team Nazar, Sarbacker Wrestling, Askren Wrestling Academy and RT Elite Wrestling Club. This is a great opportunity to meet and train with some of the coaches of elite youth and high school wrestlers in the State of Wisconsin.

    Location: Verona Area High School. Enter through Door 17. 

    Details: VAHS Boys Basketball Camp is a four day opportunity to develop skills that will help
    them be a TEAM basketball player. In all camp sessions, athletes will get to develop
    skills, compete, and play games. Emphasis will be on PERSONAL, TEAM, and
    PROGRAM development, along with teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun! K-2nd graders will concentrate on all the skills needed to become a better basketball player.

    Price: $50

    Details: VAHS Boys Basketball Camp is a four day opportunity to develop skills that will help
    them be a TEAM basketball player. In all camp sessions, athletes will get to develop
    skills, compete, and play games. Emphasis will be on PERSONAL, TEAM, and
    PROGRAM development, along with teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun! 6th-8th graders will continue to develop more advanced skills along with 5 on 5 competition. Additionally, begin to learn the system that the high school is using!

    Details: The Middle School Program emphasizes Skill of Movement, Form, & Safety.

    Details: The High School Program puts emphasis on Functional Training including improving the athlete’s – Strength, Speed, Agility, Power, Flexibility, Explosiveness, Core Stabilization, and Balance.

    PDF for Competitive Swim Camp- Middle & High School

    Dates/Times: Monday, June 12th - Thursday, July 20th 2023. 

                          Monday through Thursday. 7:00pm-8:30pm

    Grades: Students entering 7th-12th 

    Location: Verona Area Aquatic Center

    Details: Open to boys and girls entering 7th grade through 12th grade who are currently members or aspire to compete for the high school swim team. Training will focus on stroke technique and building endurance in the four competitive strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle) as well as introduction/refinement of starts and turns. Swimmers will be coached by high school coaches from the Verona Area boys and girls swim teams. All practices will be held at the Verona Area Aquatic Center.

    PDF for Junior Wildcat Dance Camp - Grades 6th-8th

    Grades:  Entering 6th-8th grade for 2023-2024 school year

    What: We are excited to announce the launch of the new Verona Junior Wildcat Team. We are hosting a junior camp for all dancers interested in joining this coming season. Dancers will learn skills and routines to perform in the showcase on June 17th . We are also offering an open parents' informational meeting on Friday June 16th. Pre-Tryout Meeting for parents interested in having their dancer join the middle school dance team: 6:30-7:45 Friday, June 16th

    When: June 16th, 5:00-7:45pm and 17th, 9:00am-3:30pm (Lunch Provided by Varsity Dance Team) - Performance showcase on the 17th for friends and family 2:30-3:30pm.

    Grades:  K - 5th grade

    Dates:  Monday, June 26th - Thursday, June 29th, 2023

    Times:  (2 options)  10am - 11:30am OR 12:30pm - 2pm

    Location: Verona Area High School - Soccer Stadium

    Details:  Players will learn basic skills and tactics of soccer as well as learn to enjoy and love the game. A new skill will be learned each day with games designed to emphasize those skills.

    PDF for Premier Coed Soccer Camp

    Grades:  6 - 8 grade

    Dates:  Monday, June 26th - Thursday, June 29th, 2023

    Times: 3pm - 5pm

    Location:  Verona Area High School - Soccer Stadium

    Details:  Individual ball skills will be stressed as well as more advanced tactics of the game.  Older players will also learn and prepare for the high school soccer experience.  Each day will conclude with competitive small sided matches.  Teamwork and Sportsmanship will be a focus during all aspects of all camps.

    Camp Details: 

    Join the Wildcat coaching staff and current athletes in the volleyball program for some fun in the sand! Participants will work on all fundamentals of the game, specific beach volleyball techniques, and will participate in fun games/activities! Due to limited registration numbers, this Camp is for Verona Area School District students ONLY.

    Coaches will break down ALL volleyball skills and will help players refine their talents to prepare them for a higher level of competition. The Wildcat camp will focus on reviewing skills along with diving deeper into advanced, position-specific techniques. An emphasis will be placed on ball control as well as offensive and defensive strategies! The Wildcat Camp is for Verona Area School District students ONLY.

    PDF for Volleyball Cub Camp-Grades 3rd-7th

    Dates: Tuesday, July 25th & Wednesday, July 26th

    Camp will be open to all levels of play in this age group. Coaches will be able to work with players just beginning volleyball as well as experienced players.
