Being in a tornado is a traumatic experience that can have lingering effects on children and adults. We all deal with stress and trauma differently, and it is possible that your child may need some additional emotional support.
School staff is available to talk to any child who may need some additional support or to offer suggestions to parents/guardians for helping their children deal with the aftermath of this storm.
If you would like to be contacted by our school psychologist or counselor, please leave a voice message on my office phone (845-4810). Remember to include your name, your child's name, and a contact number, and someone will be in touch with you soon. This offer of help is available not only now, but throughout the summer, as well.
