Our Mission The Verona Area School District, a community of learners, values 
and supports educational excellence. To foster the joy
of learning and to prepare students for future challenges,
we set rigorous academic and creative expectations for
each student. Students, in turn, must show they meet
these expectations.
Educational Goals
Schools exist to enhance student learning and to enable students
to reach their full potential. Our schools provide a challenging
instructional program designed to help students reach both the
Learner and the Character Goals outlined below.
THE LEARNER GOAL:

LEARNER who -
Builds a substantial knowledge base from challenging subject matter
in computer/information technology, environmental education, fine
and performing arts, foreign language, health, language arts,
mathematics, physical education, reading, the sciences, social studies
and vocational education.
Develops thinking and learning processes analysis, creative thinking, problem solving, decision making, visualizing, concept development)
that enable the student to interpret and apply the knowledge base.
Communicates accurately and precisely (listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing,
image making and other symbolizing) allowing the student to share thoughts, ideas
and concepts with others; and Unites knowledge with thinking,
learning and communication processes to create new ideas
and understandings, enhance human relations, expand
awareness, enrich human experiences and create original,
aesthetic works.
