Novel Ideas puts together a show by selecting a handful of those submitted stories to perform in front of the classes. Students are also pulled from the audience to partake.

All children whose stories were submitted are recognized during the performance, which is another way the PTO recognizes students for the effort they put into their writing.

Students also learn about various story genres and acting styles during the performances. Novel Ideas has been visiting Sugar Creek annually for three years, encouraging students to enjoy writing.
