Can I just walk into the Verona Area Aquatic Center?
No. All guests must reserve a time to swim before coming to the pool.
Can I still swim if I forget my mask?
No you must be properly wearing a mask to enter the Aquatic Center. You must wear a mask at all times except if you are swimming in the pool. You must put your mask on as soon as you are done swimming until you leave the Aquatic Center.
I have a cough, but I’m sure it’s just a cold can I register for a swim slot?
No, people with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported-ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
Fever or Chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or Body Aches
Headache
New Loss of Taste or Smell
Sore Throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
How much does it cost to come in for Lap or Open Swim?

What pool is Open Swim scheduled in?
Open Swim and Water Exercise is offered in the Warm Water Community Pool which is 88 degrees. No more than 10 Swimmers will be allowed in the Community Pool.
What pool is Lap Swim scheduled in?
Lap Swim is scheduled in the Competitive Pool which is 81 Degrees. No more than 8 swimmers will be allowed in the Competitive Pool.
May I use both the Community Pool and the Competitive Pool.
You may sign up for separate time spots for each pool, but if you sign up for Lap Swim you may only use the competitive pool, and if you sign up for Open Swim you may only use the Community Pool.
I am a Senior and I am having difficulty paying online can I pay when I arrive?
Yes, during checkout there is a “pay at counter” option for you to reserve your slot and pay in person.
Will I be able to use the starting blocks and diving boards in the Competitive pool.
No the starting blocks and diving boards are closed for now. No kickboards, pull-buoys, toys, goggles, jogging belts will be available for use at this time.
If I forget my towel may I borrow one?
No towels will not be available
Can I register for Lap or Open Swim every morning of the week?
No, we are limited on the amount of people we can have in the building. At this time you may register for up to 3 times per week.
I don’t see many swim times offered weeknights or weekends?
At this time we are offering Monday - Friday daytime hours, with some occasional nights and Saturdays. (subject to change)
GENERAL INFORMATION
Open Swim
Everyone is welcome to
attend open swim. Children, 8 years of age and older may attend Open
Swim without an adult. Children under the age of 8 must have a
responsible person (15 or older) in the water with them at all times. Coast Guard Approved Floatation devices (only) are allowed during Open Swim. A lap lane will
be provided during Open Swim unless the pool is to crowded.
Refund Policy
Full Refunds will be given if the Natatorium or Aquatic Center cancels a class. A prorated refund will be given only if severe illness or injury prevents participation. (See Natatorium Director)
Financial Assistance:
There is limited
financial assistance available through a recreation scholarship fund
established with the Verona Area Education Foundation. For more
information call the Aquatics Director at 608-653-1058. VASD residents
are invited to enclose a separate check in any amount made payable to
the Verona Area Education Foundation to assist with recreation
scholarships for VASD students requesting assistance.
Program Cancellations
All classes must have a
minimum number of students. The Natatorium/Aquatic Center reserves the right to
cancel, combine, or make schedule revisions as necessary.
Missed Lessons
Occasionally, students may need to miss a lesson. There are no make-up classes available for missed lessons.
Swim Diapers
Swim Diapers (cloth or disposable) are required for all non-toilet-trained/ fecal incontinence individuals.
