Verona Area senior, Ashanti, joined representatives from American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Burke Foundation at the Boys and Girls Club on Taft St. in south Madison Tuesday to announce $3.3 million in donations to help grow AVID/TOPS, a college preparatory program for minority, low-income and first generation students.
American Family Insurance will donate $1 million over five years to support AVID/TOPS and the Burke foundation will donate $2.3 million over the next three years.
