Stoner Prairie Elementary School - November 18, 2013

Stoner Prairie Student Recognition

School Board Meeting, Monday, November 18, 2013

The Stoner Prairie Ambassadors are a group of 4th and 5th grade student leaders. All 4th and 5th grade students were given the opportunity to apply to be an Ambassador by filling out an application. Students were selected based on leadership qualities they possess and ideas they had to improve Stoner Prairie. The Ambassadors give up their recess time once a week to meet. During that time they meet with Ms. Schlitz the school counselor to participate in problem solving activities and work towards a student-directed school-wide project. This year the Ambassadors voted that their project will be focused on spreading kindness throughout Stoner Prairie. Initial ideas for this project include: creating a video demonstrating kind acts, an all school kindness assembly, a paper chain where acts of kindness are recognized and creating kind and motivational posters to put around the school.

  • Motivates others
