Verona Area High Schools Teachers Gather to Raise Funds for Cancer Research...
Hundreds of attendees gathered at Gray's Tied House to take in some great music, a raffle, a silent auction and more, ALL TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CANCER RESEARCH. Hats off to High School teacher Annalise Howell and her band, The Fauxtons, who kept the night going! Stay tuned for fundraising results...

VASD's Music Teachers Practice What They Preach...The band room seats were full as VASD's 6th-12th grade music teachers (band, choir & orchestra) took the spotlight Jan. 15 not only for some performance fun, but to accept donations for students' music scholarships. From vocal solos, to horn trios, to a group song about "java," Verona is proud of our teacher talent!

Verona Taken Over By Spanish Student Volunteers
More than 150 High School Spanish students recently achieved nearly 300 hours of community service to culminate a unit on the importance of what it means to be a citizen in the community. Students wrote a paper in spanish on their wonderful volunteer experiences in churches, food pantries, residential facilities, soup kitchens, and ringing bells for Salvation Army…HATS OFF!

VAHS Student Champions for Collecting Food/Funds for Second Harvest Food Bank...
The past few months have generated not only 21,000 pounds of food and $2,525, but also a sense of pride as Verona H.S. students collected spare change and food at a variety of sports events and local businesses to compete in the Second Harvest Food/Fund Drive.  VAHS is known for collecting more food than any other school competing!
